Esme Cole
Recently, Simon Buckley caught up with Old Davidean and previous Head Girl Esme Cole. Esme shares her fascinating story below:
In January 2020 I moved to Auckland, New Zealand. I moved from a job in resilience at the London Fire Brigade to a similar role at Auckland Emergency Management. I’ve been in this field for a few years now and I’ve responded to a variety of incidents ranging from flooding to terrorism, but I don’t think anything could prepare me for the response to a pandemic in the first few weeks of a new job on the other side of the world.

Old Davideans who do something out of the ordinary
Stuart Webley, proprietor of the Ty Coch Inn, Porthdinllaen, Morfa Nefyn, Gwynedd. LL53 6DB
Stuart left St David’s in 1995; he wasn’t the most academic of people, and, as a slightly reluctant member of Lower 6th, it was decided by his family that he might be better off in the outside world.
Lloyd Owen
We are pleased to announce that Old Davidean Lloyd Owen has gained his RAF pilot's wings, following in his father, SDC Governor and Old Davidean Paul Owen's footsteps! He is now training to fly the massive C130 Hercules Transport Plane at RAF Brize Norton. Well done Lloyd!
