THE JAMES WEBB CENTRE | St. David's College Old Davideans Association
On a beautifully still day we witnessed the launching of a legacy. The James Webb Centre was officially opened. Family and friends gathered with staff and pupils to dedicate the centre to future generations of students who will benefit from the expertise of SDC staff combined with the use of cutting edge technology. It was a privilege to meet with James' mum and family on a very emotional but joyous day.
Oliver Herring OD recollected with affection, humour and compassion his childhood days with his best friend growing up at SDC. James and his family and friends remain in our our thoughts and prayers.
James Webb's legacy was launched with a prayer of dedication:
"Today is not about opening a centre. It's about launching a legacy. We dedicate the James Webb Centre in his memory and as a legacy for future generations who pass through St. David's"
Tim Hall
The James Webb Assistive Technology Centre will allow dyslexic pupils to access the curriculum with the assistance of cutting edge technology in collaboration with BT and the dedicated Cadogan Centre staff.
Look at that beautiful bright light shining in from the windows!
