St. David's College Old Davideans Association

This year's ODA Reunion Weekend is on November 7th - 8th at St David's College. Click on the title above for some details of what's on.

Due to the success of the last three years, we will be holding an evening dinner on Saturday, November 7th in the Minstrel Hall. Prices and menue to follow.
We are starting with 6.30pm drinks reception to sit for dinner at 7pm. After coffee and speeches, the ODA lottery will be drawn.  For those of you who have participated in the monthly payments, there are some great cash prizes to be won including a fantastic £500 first prize! There will also be a raffle and auction on the evening with prizes donated by Old Davideans (please do get in touch if you would like to donate something).  The last remaining leather bound edition of the book "We Never Gave Up" will be available for auction. There are only 12 in existence. The ODA is fundraising for a couple of things…the first being ODA travel bursaries for current pupils and the second, a new cricket pavillion.

As it is the Rugby World Cup this year and Old Davidean Dan Lycett's first year as Head of PE, we are going to have a special Rugby 7's Tournament. Visit the Old Davidean's Facebook page to get in touch with Dan and other rugby enthusiasts! We also have a Netball Tournament, being organised by Miss Redfern and possibly a football match too. All taking place at 2pm. Shooting will be on as usual (Mr Buckley and Mr Griffiths) from 11am.
On Sunday, the rev Tim Hall will be leading the Remembrance service. This year's guest speaker is Gavin Mart who will be speaking about his recent trip to Bethlehem.  As ever, there will be tea/coffee in the Minstrel Hall after the service. 
We have a Facebook page for the ODA which is updated regularly with news and events.  The groups for the netball, rugby and football for ODA weekend are on the Facebook page. The meal has a limited number of places so do get in touch as soon as possible to book your place and avoid disappointment.  We very much hope to see you in November!
Weekend Programme:
Saturday
10.30am - Tea and coffee in the Minstrel Hall 
11am - Shooting (Mr Buckley and Mr Griffiths), Climbing Wall Competition (Mr Lloyd- Jones), various Old Davideans holding talks/workshops for the pupils 
12.45pm - Lunch in the Dining Room. All welcome.
2pm - Rugby 7's and Netball.
4pm - Afternoon tea in the Dining Room.
6.15pm - Mini bus pick up from town for those attending the dinner.
6.30pm Drinks reception in the old Library.
7pm - Minstreal Hall dinner, speeches, auction, raffle and 100 club prize draw.
11pm - Mini bus shuttle to town.
 
Sunday
10.30am - Morning Chapel in the Minstrel Hall.
11.30am - Tea and Coffee.
