ODA REMEMBRANCE REUNION WEEKEND 2017 | St. David's College Old Davideans Association
We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to our annual ODA Remembrance Weekend at St David’s. As ever, we have organised a packed programme for the weekend with staff, pupils, retired and previous members of staff attending who are all keen to meet up and reminisce.
Activities on offer are cross country, climbing, shooting, rugby and netball. Do come and take part or spectate.
As tradition would have it, the ODA will be hosting an evening dinner on Saturday, November 11th in the Minstrel Hall. We are starting with 6.30pm drinks reception to sit for dinner at 7pm. After coffee and speeches, the ODA lottery will be drawn. For those of you who have participated in the monthly payments, there are some great cash prizes to be won including a fantastic £500 first prize! There will also be a raffle and auction on the evening with prizes donated by Old Davideans (please do get in touch if you would like to donate something). The ODA is fundraising for a couple of things - the first being ODA sports and humanitarian trip scholarships for current pupils and the second, a new sports pavilion.
On Sunday, the Rev Tim Hall will be leading the Remembrance service. This year's guest speaker is new Headmaster, Andy Russell.
As ever, there will be tea/coffee in the Minstrel Hall after the service.
We are having a special memorial gathering after coffee to remember fondly Old Davidean, former Head Boy and former Chair of the ODA, John Ellis who passed away last year. The ODA are donating a bench in his memory to the school. This will take place after coffee and before lunch.
We have a Facebook page for the ODA which is updated regularly with news and events. The groups for the netball and rugby for ODA weekend are on the Facebook page. Obviously we will also continue to email information in addition to this page. If you “like” the page, you will automatically receive updates on your newsfeed. Here's the link:
